Blasenkopf
Activity Day August 1, 2021
Time: 15:00 – 21:00
Materials: Bubble machine, papier-mâché, gray paint, black paint, clear varnish, 2m shaped tube
The piece “Blasenkopf“, 80 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm, formally calls to mind the head of an indefinable gray creature, with black eyes and a gaping maw opening upward. The head looks heavy and ponderous, perched at the top of a roughly two meter pole, like a trophy head on a pike. The eyes stare lifelessly into nothingness, iridescent bubbles issue from the mouth and, driven by the wind, slowly sink to the ground in a great circle. Just as some plants try to spread their seeds with the help of the wind, the “Blasenkopf” likewise tries to conquer the large area around it.
