In ancient Rome, mundus described the point of connection between gaía
(Greek: the world facing the sky) and chthón (world beneath
the surface). Through the circular opening of the mundus, a connection
between the worlds was established three times a year.
Mundus patet. The world is open.

ALMUT REICHENBACH
Following her training as a goldsmith, Almut Reichenbach studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg. Her practice covers the fields of sculpture, object art, and installations. She has lived and worked in Vienna since 2013.
Cornelia Hefel & Niki Pommer
Cornelia Hefel, was born in Hohenems, Vorarlberg. She completed a specialized course for fashion design, a higher technical school (HTL) for textile technology, various dance training, and finally the HTL College of Photography in Leyserstrasse, Vienna. She served as an assistant to Horst Stasny in Linz, Nikolaus Walter in Feldkirch, and Elfie Semontan in Vienna. In 1998, she began working as a freelance artist in the medium of photography. Her work has appeared in various publications, as well as in group and solo exhibitions, most recently in 2022 ALL, member exhibition at Palais Thurn und Taxis, Bregenz, and round 72, Angelo Roventa, Bregenz. Her work is in the collections of the state of Vorarlberg (acquisitions in 2009, 2016, 2018, 2020) and private collectors.
